The mission of JBead Foundation is to promote activities that improve rural educational, social, and economic conditions. This page focuses the majority of our resources on developing and supporting programs, and partnerships that promote educational opportunity and inclusion for people in underserved communities in the U.S. and around the world. It is our intent to work in conjunction with program partners and sponsors to provide not only access, but also education regarding each program listed on this page. Information technology, for example has been identified as the cornerstone of an emerging market economy in which only those individuals that are able to comprehend and utilize this proficiency will be able to benefit and compete for employment in the public sector. Through programs listed on this page, the foundation will help increase access to information technologies for at-risk youth and underserved urban families – to important community resources, such as Internet access, computer training, math and reading classes, and job skills programs.
