Message from our Founder

Dear Community, Friends, and Corporate Partners:

On behalf of JBead Foundation and The Ronald Larry Scholarship Fund, please accept my most gracious heart-felt thank you for your generous contributions and gifts for the Second Annual Community Recognition Awards Dinner: A Black Tie Gala: November 18, 2005: Beverly Hilton Hotel: Beverly Hills, California. Your commitment and support made this year's celebration a stellar success. Thank you for joining us in honoring our award recipients, keynote speaker, and honorees for the evening dinner. Our theme for the event and through 2006 is: Collaboration and Achievement through Community Partnerships.

Gifts from the community - friends, faculty, and staff at our universities, corporations, and financial institutions - contribute to JBead Foundation's success. Your investment demonstrates to all of our funding sources that the Foundation is a worthwhile cause. As the community learns of our success and the strong support of our constituents, they are inspired to participate as well.

Your gift will assist us in the important work we do in shaping and educating our future leaders from diverse backgrounds. By investing in JBead Foundation Ronald Larry Scholarship Fund, you help us prepare the students of today to become the leaders of our future. Your sustained interest helps keep our Foundation vibrant and alive, and ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

In addition, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our community partners: RAINBOW/PUSH-EXCEL, 1000 CHURCHES CONNECTED, and UCLA ANDERSON SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT- RIORDAN PROGRAMS, for sharing our vision. This annual event is our most important gathering of citizens, corporations, business leaders, and educators to come together to share the agenda and examine the condition of higher education, while working towards equal access for young professionals who enter institutions of higher learning.

The corporate sponsors for our 2005 2nd Annual Community Recognition Awards Dinner are the following: City National Bank, Research and Policy Institute of California, and Synergy Mortgage Solutions: Working Together for You. Black Enterprise Magazine would be delighted if you could join them as one of our 3rd Anniversary Dinner Sponsors at this momentous event in 2006. JBead Foundation and the Ronald Larry Scholarship Fund wishes to thank the wonderful people who donated individual contributions. See Wall of Donors.

JBead Foundation would like to gather as many corporations, companies, communities, educational institutions and businesses to share this vision of creating opportunities for young professionals from diverse backgrounds. Our task is to build partnerships between the public and private sector, higher education, congress and assembly members, community leaders, major corporations, foundations, local and national business leaders. The ties between industry and academia allow a valuable interchange of ideas and energy which are key to building corporate structures such as JBead Foundation. JBead Foundation, RAINBOW-PUSH/EXCEL, and UCLA Anderson School of Management-Riordan Programs, is committed to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with the business community as we prepare the next generation of leaders in various industries.

This year, JBead Foundation introduced the After School Youth Literacy Program. Interested funders should call 1-866-620-4438 (GIFT) or email jbeadfoundation@aol.com.

This year marks the 3rd anniversary for JBead Foundation. We intend to make our November 2006 Community Recognition Awards Dinner an especially memorable event. Your participation would be greatly appreciated. Most recently, Black Enterprise Magazine has signed on as a sponsor of our 2006 event.
